What’s the Hottest Book at Wings?

Dying to Be Me: My Journey from Cancer,
to Near Death, to True Healing
by Anita Moorjani

You may have heard of this book because Wayne Dyer is raving about it on his latest PBS video. For all you marketing cynics reading this (well, yes, sometimes it is about famous people touting their colleagues), this book would rise to the top with-or-without Wayne Dyer's endorsements. Dying to Be Me arrived on our "New Arrivals" shelf right about the same time as Suzanne Giesemann's Messages of Hope. And no two books could have been paired together more beautifully. (I swear, the angels did it.)

Anita Moorjani's true story confirms Suzanne's revelations of the oneness of all life, the eternality of life, and the Truth of who we really are. Neither of these women expected to write a spiritual book; both books came from life experiences that they could never have predicted. Suzanne has gleaned this knowledge, you might say, "second-hand." Her information is from those who have left their bodies and communicate to her as purely spirit beings.

Anita Moorjani's experience was first-hand. She fought cancer for four years, and her body finally gave up. When her organs shut down, and she went into the final coma, it was her husband who could not let go. It was probably his insistence that the doctors keep her alive--multiple tubes, the respirator pumping oxygen into her lungs, monitors everywhere--against all gentle advice to let her go, he just could not give permission to allow her heart to stop beating. It was during this coma that Anita left her body and moved at will between the spirit realm and the physical. What she learned on the other side about her true identity is what ultimately healed her.

Dying to Be Me would be the perfect book to launch a study group. It may be the newest most news-worthy addition to this genre, but this is not new information. A century ago, these truths were being revealed to us by New Thought mystics, and their writings are just as relevant (and profound) today as they were then. Other books (by authors including Myrtle Fillmore, Joel Goldsmith and Michele O'Donnell) support these teachings and could be next-in-line for the group. Healing has to come from here. It's 2012, and it's time for this information to be (re)-revealed. We know that our current medical paradigm is not the way. It's no coincidence that Dying to Be Me is a best-seller.

2012 - A Message of Hope

2012 - A Message of Hope
2012 - A Message of Hope
If you've seen "Thrive" and your thoughts and feelings are running rampant, we'd like to share a gift that was offered to us by one of our Wings Bookstore angels. The response/solution to a world that seems to be falling apart is not a survival plan of defense and protection. Sit back and take in this video. Find a time when you have 25 minutes to postpone multi-tasking. This message is the heart of our existence at Wings. All roads--books, beads, statues, poetry, music, movies, chants, asanas, networking, energy healing sessions--all roads are guiding us to the birthing of an awakening humanity living in harmony with each other and with the earth. Thank you, Nancy.
