FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE REPLY TO: PATTI RONDOLINO April 10, 2007 First Unity of St. Petersburg, under the direction of Rev. Temple Hayes, has recently announced a community outreach program in the opening of “Wings…more than a Bookstore,” Tampa Bay’s newest and most innovative bookstore and café. Wings is situated on First Unity’s property located at 4500 4th Street N in St. Petersburg. Wings will carry an extensive stock of books, music CDs, DVDs, gifts, and cards along with a variety of exotic coffees and teas. Visitors will experience book signings, workshops, poetry readings, and instructional talks by the some of the world’s most influential speakers, such as Neale Donald Walsch, Dr. Bruce Lipton and Massaru Emoto. For the past 25 years, First Unity volunteers have staffed the 340 sq. ft. bookstore inside the church. Three years ago, Patti Rondolino and Sharon Jebens partnered with Rev. Hayes in a vision of expanding the campus by relocating the bookstore to 4th Street and adding a coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. Wings...more than a Bookstore was born. Ms. Rondolino and Ms. Jebens have successful backgrounds in retail sales, marketing, and national promotions and will be joined by a talented staff of department managers. Hours of operation will be Monday – Saturday 10-9:30. Sundays 9-6. It is their intention to open Wings to the community as a ministry, a comfortable space to read, meet, learn, participate, inspire, and sip a beverage…a resource for nourishing the body, mind and soul. First Unity is grateful to the many talented people who have given their time and talent to this project. All the funding was provided by volunteers who created a trust to finance the renovating, stocking and staffing. First Unity of St. Petersburg and Wings Bookstore invite you to come take a look. The doors open for business on April 22, 2007. |
