Chico Bags

chicobags.jpg
Eco-friendly Shopping Bags

The ultra-compact, reusable bag that fits in a pocket, glove box or purse! Made of strong, washable nylon and also folds into an integrated pouch with hook for your keychain, belt loop or backpack.

Each year, an estimated 500 billion to 1 trillion single-use plastic bags are consumed worldwide. In the United States alone, the average citizen uses between 300 and 700 plastic bags per year, which consumes 3 to 7 gallons of crude oil.. Currently, 97% of these bags end up in either a landfill or littering our planet's fragile eco-systems. Let's actively acknowledge our personal impact on the Earth and help humanity kick the single-use bag habit and reduce unnecessary waste by switching to the Chico Bag.

Zulugrass Jewelry

Beads & Blades of Grass-Zulugrass Jewelry Now at Wings

zulugrass.jpg An unlikely grass has become a fashion icon and a symbol of hope for impoverished African communities. Zulugrass jewelry blossomed out of a severe drought that devastated Kenya's pasturelands from 1999-2001, bringing dire conditions to the Maasai people. The only plant able to grow in the extreme conditions was a fibrous, hollow, tough species that was considered worthless.

necklace1.jpg With the help of designers Philip and Katy Leakey, Zulugrass has become the solution to the devastating conditions facing the Maasai women and children. Wait until you see what these amazing women have created with tiny cut pieces of the grass, dyed brilliant colors, and strung with brilliant Czech glass beads! A single strand can stretch into a hair tie, a choker, a bracelet, or an anklet. Read more about how the Maasai women have begun and sustained an industry that is an inspiration to finding solutions for other global challenges at www.Zulugrass.com
